Peer review process
Papers submitted to REB&S are processed through a ‘single-blind’ peer review system in which the reviewers are aware of the author's names and affiliations and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers during the paper review process.
Reviewers are selected for their expertise in the specific areas of the submitted paper and their opinion is related to scientific aspects, originality, contribution and relevance.
The reviewers’ opinions are forwarded to the authors and the decision has 4 possible options: Accepted, minor revision, major revision or rejected.
In addition, papers may be rejected directly by the Editor if judged to be out of scope or if scientifically or formally sub-standard.
To privilege rapid publication, authors are given a maximum of 2 months for revision. After 2 months, revised manuscripts will be considered new submissions.
Publication Frequency
The publication is biannual, however, accepted and processed articles are posted online immediately. A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number will be assigned to all published papers once they are included in an journal issue.
REB&S journal works through the continuous publication model, which means that the submission of manuscripts to the journal is always open. Once your paper is uploaded to the platform, it will go through the evaluation process, and once accepted, it will be published online and assigned to the corresponding journal issue.
