Plagiarism Policy

REB&S Journal does not allow the publication of plagiarized articles. As part of the editorial process, all submissions are screened using Plagiarism Detector Pro, a software tool used to identify textual matches, possible overlap with previously published sources, and improper use of third-party content. The currently active licensed software corresponds to Plagiarism Detector Pro, main application version 2945, system x64 .NET v4.0.30319.

When corrections or clarifications are required, the generated report may be shared with the authors together with the editorial comments. Authors are also encouraged to verify the originality of their work before submission in order to avoid issues during the evaluation process.

Authors must respect the work of other researchers through proper quotation, paraphrasing, attribution, and bibliographic citation. If any reader, author, or third party identifies a possible copyright infringement in an article published in REB&S Journal, they may contact the editorial team and provide sufficient evidence so that the case can be reviewed and the corresponding measures can be taken.

For queries related to this procedure, please contact the editorial team.

Possible Editorial Actions for High Similarity Index

The Editorial Board has approved the following actions:

  1. Similarity Index greater than 50%
The submission will be rejected due to poor citation, inadequate paraphrasing, unattributed text, and/or possible plagiarism.
  2. Similarity Index greater than 15%
The editor may return the file to the authors for correction. Authors must add the corresponding citations, improve paraphrasing, and correct any unattributed or improperly cited content.
  3. Similarity Index lower than 15%
The article may continue in the editorial process; however, minor adjustments to citations or wording may still be requested when necessary.

In cases 2 and 3, the corrected version may be analyzed again with the anti-plagiarism software until it shows no evidence of plagiarism and presents a similarity index lower than 15%.
